The first snow of winter. . .

End of term!!!!!! Thankfully the worst of the snow held off until school was out. Hetty and I had a walk in the park at dawn.
She was snug in her cosy Little Red Riding Hood coat.

She was rather tentative at first. I imagine when she experienced snow whilst tethered on her skanky allotment it was anything but welcome.

After a while she started running . . .

and running . . . and running . . .A lurcher's raison d'etre is to run.

Then it was home for breakfast: tea and poached eggs on toast (for both of us). A lovely start to the holidays. Tomorrow we shall collect our Christmas lurcher fosteree. Can't wait.
