Purple Sprouting Broccoli. The great success (possibly the only success) of my tatty vegetable patch. For some reason it seems to be hardy enough to withstand trampling by an 8 stone Dalmatian.
The first lilac flowers. There are only 4 flowers on the whole bush, but this is the first time the shrub has flowered at all. So that makes me very happy! I also love the leaves, which are perfect heart shapes.
